Phenomena: Pilot – Part II: Night at Czuła jest Noc
2026.11.14 · in progress · club culture · curation · local community
The second segment of the inaugural Phenomena pilot – an open, free-admission club gathering at Uczulenie (Czuła jest Noc) under Wrocław's historic railway arches. Focused on broken bass music, unreleased productions, and local electronic scene integration.
The Club Chapter of the Phenomena Series
Following the concert and educational programme at MiserArt Gallery in Nadodrze, the inaugural Phenomena pilot transitions to Wrocław’s railway archway on ul. Kolejowa 8. Inside Czuła jest Noc (Uczulenie), we host the second, nocturnal chapter of the pilot.
Part II explores the club format not as commercial nightlife product, but as an active space for cultural exchange, sonic experimentation, and community connection across the Wrocław electronic music landscape.
The Venue: Czuła jest Noc as an Urban “Third Space”
Café-bars and independent club spaces serve as vital urban third spaces – communal grounds between home and work where informal collaborations, local networks, and grassroots artistic movements take root.
The address at ul. Kolejowa 8 has been closely woven into the lives of PZA’s founders since their early days in Wrocław – as a backdrop for discussions, community events, and early music curations. In an era where independent venues in Polish cities face steep commercial pressures, PZA actively works to revitalise and sustain these spaces through accessible, high-standard artistic programming.
Musical Direction: Beyond Standard 4/4 Templates
Our curatorial focus breaks away from uniform 4/4 formulas. The programme for the night at Czuła centres on heavy bass architecture, polyrhythms, syncopated percussive structures, and influences from UK underground club culture:
- Genre Breadth: UK bass, broken breakbeat, electro, dub techno, grime, and deconstructed club tracks.
- Dynamic Arc: moving from deep ambient textures and experimental live acts into dense, danceable club music.
- Showcasing Local Productions: live airing of unreleased material crafted in the private studios of the foundation founders and invited selectors.
Curatorial Lineup and Artists
- Donija (zerozero / Sound Experience): a distinctive figure in Wrocław’s bass and broken electronic scene, creator of the acclaimed EPs Halabarda and Pax Luna. Having performed across Poland’s leading club venues and festivals (Up To Date, LAS Festival) as well as Seoul’s famed Vurt club, his sets marry the gritty directness of grime and UK garage with surgical sound design. Opening the night at 22:00.
- Glassz (SPLOT / Ciało / Up To Date): an influential pillar of the local music ecosystem, former Music Director of Academic Radio LUZ, long-standing resident at club Ciało, co-founder of the SPLOT label, and co-curator of Up To Date Festival. A versatile selector blending ambient, modern breakbeat, UK techno, and drum’n’bass, frequently featured on Brussels’ Kiosk Radio and Berlin’s Säule.
- Bumelant B2B Żyleta (PZA): a collaborative set by PZA Foundation founders Aleksander Spitalniak and Marek Stodolny. Bridging two distinct musical journeys: raw vinyl electro and vintage techno combined with deep sub-bass landscapes and dub techno. The set marks the culmination of months of foundational groundwork.
Independent Format and Free Access
The second part of the pilot is an entirely self-directed grassroots initiative delivered by PZA Foundation without public subsidies or corporate sponsorships.
Entry throughout the night is completely free and open to everyone, free from ticket barriers or door selection fees.
